SMS Tork
General-purpose solenoid valves and replacement coils: 230 items — NC/NO solenoid valves, pulse valves, coils and spare diaphragms.
The SMS Tork group consists of general-purpose solenoid valves that open and close a fluid path electrically. They are used on water, air, oil and steam lines; selection is by fluid, temperature and port size.
The valve's rest position is given by two letters and must not be confused: NC (normally closed) is closed when the coil is de-energised and opens when energised — this is the default choice for lines that need to fail safe, since the line closes on power loss. NO (normally open) is the reverse.
The coil is sold separately and is the most frequently replaced part of the valve. 24 V AC, 110 V AC and 220 V AC options are in stock; where the body is sound, only the coil need be changed. Spare diaphragms are also in this group — when a diaphragm tears the valve leaks continuously, and replacing it avoids replacing the whole valve.
